NBNA Conference works with the larger NBNA mission: To facilitate the greater representation of Black Nurses and other diverse communities and enable them better access to professional development, supporting education opportunities, and improving wellness. Essentially, what the Conference aims to do is to create a platform where speakers can vocalize and receive feedback on strategies and policies that will enable NBNA members to both receive and provide better health care facilities in their communities which have traditionally been discriminated against.

The NBNA Conference seeks to build up vehicles through which members can better utilize and achieve their marketing goals. This serves the purpose of easy identification of the target groups amongst the attendees that is the key to formulate medicines and spread the brand name. It also helps to increase brand recognition, and get a feedback from attendees on what further agendas can be taken up to fulfill the NBNA mission. A plus point is that the conference also nourishes quality conversations between the members, and the attendees who are often researchers, pediatricians, educators, administrators, nurses and leaders. Better policies can be formulated, with spreading awareness for these issues and securing better health care for everyone, especially people of color.
